During hard driving in a racetrack, the heat generated in the engine is transferred to the engine oil. When engine oil passes its peak operating temperature, the oil lubricating properties breaks down. This will result in the engine not being lubricated, and the end result is reduced power along with reduced engine life. Prolonged usage in this environment of poor oil lubrication will cause huge damage to the engine where the common term used is a blown transmission. In order to prevent this, it is highly recommended to install a engine oil cooler to provide the engine to work effortlessly in an optimized oil temperature environment where there is no degradation of the oil lubricating properties.
